What we service

Our Nissan-certified technicians handle the full range of maintenance and repair work for every Nissan model -- Rogue, Pathfinder, Kicks, Sentra, Altima, Frontier, Murano, ARIYA, LEAF, and older Nissan and Infiniti models. All work is done with genuine Nissan parts and backed by Nissan Canada's parts and service warranty.

Routine maintenance

Oil and filter changes. Nissan recommends synthetic oil for most current models on a 12,000 km or 6-month interval, whichever comes first. We use Nissan-approved oil and OEM filters.

Tire rotation and balancing. Recommended every 12,000 km or with every oil change. Free with any service visit.

Multi-point inspection. Complimentary with every service -- 30+ point check including brakes, suspension, fluids, lights, tires, and battery.

Tires and wheels

Winter tire installation. Book early -- appointments fill fast in October and April. We install tires from any brand, not just Nissan-recommended.

Wheel alignment. Full 4-wheel alignment on our alignment rack. Recommended annually or after any suspension work.

Tire storage. Ask about seasonal tire storage -- we hold your off-season tires for a small fee so you're not storing them at home.

Brakes and suspension

Brake pad and rotor service. Nissan brake components with the correct friction rating for your model. Free brake inspection with any service visit.

Suspension and steering. Struts, shocks, control arms, tie rods -- Saskatchewan's gravel roads and frost heaves wear these faster than city driving elsewhere in Canada.

Powertrain and drivetrain

Engine service. Diagnostic scans, spark plug replacement, cooling system service, timing belt/chain service as required by model.

Transmission service. CVT fluid service (critical on Rogue, Pathfinder, Kicks, Sentra), automatic transmission service, differential service on AWD models.

Drivetrain service. AWD transfer case, driveline components, CV joints, wheel bearings.

Battery and electrical

Battery testing and replacement. Free battery testing anytime -- critical before Saskatchewan winter. We stock the correct group-size AGM and flooded batteries for every Nissan.

Electrical diagnostics. Full computer diagnostics with Nissan-specific scan tools. Charging system, starter, alternator, and body electronics.

Warranty and recall service

Warranty repairs. Any current Nissan warranty repair (basic, powertrain, hybrid/EV, or emissions) done at no cost with genuine Nissan parts. Warranty work is billed directly to Nissan Canada.

Recall service. Check for active recalls on your Nissan at nissan.ca or by VIN. All recall work at Moose Jaw Nissan is done at no cost regardless of where you bought the vehicle.

Why service your Nissan at Moose Jaw Nissan

Nissan-certified technicians

Our technicians are Nissan-trained and certified on the current Nissan lineup, including electric (ARIYA, LEAF) and hybrid models. Training happens directly through Nissan Canada.

Genuine Nissan parts

We use Nissan-approved OEM parts on every repair. Aftermarket alternatives available on request, but OEM keeps your warranty intact and provides the correct fit and performance for your vehicle.

Warranty preservation

Service records at a Nissan dealer maintain your factory warranty. All service is documented in Nissan Canada's national system -- if you sell the vehicle or move provinces, the record follows.

Loaner and shuttle

For longer service work, we offer courtesy shuttle service within Moose Jaw and loaner vehicles on approved warranty repairs. Ask when booking your appointment.

Serving all of southern SK

We serve Nissan owners from Moose Jaw, Regina, Swift Current, Weyburn, Assiniboia, Gravelbourg, and Coronach. Highway 1 access makes us convenient for Regina and Swift Current owners.

Winter-ready service

Southern Saskatchewan winters are hard on vehicles. Our service team understands the specific wear patterns -- road salt, gravel chips, extended cold soaks -- and inspects for those issues on every visit.

What to bring to your service appointment

  • Your vehicle registration (needed for warranty claims)
  • Any prior service records not done at Moose Jaw Nissan (helps our team see the full picture)
  • A list of specific concerns -- noises, warning lights, driving behaviour changes -- the more detail the better
  • Your Nissan Rewards or loyalty account info if you have one
  • Payment method (we take major credit cards, debit, and can arrange financing on larger repairs through Moose Jaw Nissan's finance team)

Best times to book -- seasonal timing for Saskatchewan

Some service is time-sensitive in southern Saskatchewan. Plan ahead for these.

Winter tire changeover

Book: mid-September through mid-October. Once temperatures consistently drop below 7°C, switch to dedicated winter tires. Appointment slots fill quickly in early-to-mid October. Book 2-3 weeks ahead.

Summer tire changeover

Book: late March through mid-April. Once temperatures consistently exceed 7°C, switch back to all-season or summer tires. Similar booking rush -- plan 2-3 weeks ahead.

Winter prep service

Book: October or November. Battery test, block heater cord inspection, tire pressure and tread check, coolant strength test, oil viscosity verification. All done together in a single winter-prep appointment.

Post-winter inspection

Book: April or May. Salt corrosion inspection, undercarriage rinse, alignment check (winter frost heaves shift alignment), and full multi-point after the harshest driving months.

No -- the Magnuson-Moss Act (in the US) and equivalent Canadian consumer law prevents manufacturers from requiring dealer-only service to preserve warranty. Any qualified mechanic using appropriate parts can perform routine maintenance. That said, servicing at Moose Jaw Nissan preserves your warranty automatically, keeps your service records in Nissan Canada's national system, guarantees Nissan-trained technicians and genuine parts, and puts you first in line for any recall work.
For most modern Nissan models on synthetic oil, the recommended interval is 12,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first. Southern Saskatchewan driving conditions (temperature extremes, dust from gravel roads, road salt) often qualify as "severe service" per Nissan's maintenance guide -- some owners choose 8,000-10,000 km intervals for peace of mind. Winter tire changeover, battery check, and full inspection should happen twice yearly (October and April).
Yes. We offer complimentary shuttle service within Moose Jaw during your service appointment -- we can drop you off at home, work, or a shopping location and pick you up when your vehicle is ready. Loaner vehicles are available on approved warranty repairs when the work takes longer than a same-day service visit. Ask about shuttle or loaner options when booking.
Yes. Our technicians are trained and certified on Nissan's electric vehicles -- the ARIYA and LEAF. High-voltage EV service requires specific certifications that our team has completed through Nissan Canada. We handle routine EV maintenance (tire rotation, brake fluid, cabin filter, coolant service on the battery cooling system) as well as warranty and recall work on the electric powertrain.
Visit nissan.ca and use the "Check Recalls" tool -- enter your 17-digit VIN (found on the driver-side dash, driver-side door jamb, or vehicle registration) to see any open recalls. Alternatively, call Moose Jaw Nissan at 306-691-0016 and our service team will look up your vehicle. Recall repairs are performed at no cost to you regardless of where you originally bought the vehicle.
